The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with A.S. Popov Odessa National Academy of Telecommunications (A.S. Popov ONAT) of Ministry Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine and National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine organize International Seminar “Strategic aspects of ICT use in education” to be held in Odessa, Ukraine, April 17-19, 2013.

Seminar is intended for representatives of ministries and departments, regulators, telecommunication operators, universities and other stakeholders of Member States, Sector Members and Associated ITU members.
The seminar will cover the following issues: implementation of ICT in education, the role of the state, legal regulation of the ICT use in education, technical aspects of ICT use in education, organizational aspects of ICT use in education, peculiarities of ICT implementation in pre-schoolers education, International partnership in the field of ICT use in education, security organization while implementing ICT in education, the protection of students on the Internet space, Capacity building through teachers advanced training, ICT use for education process for people with disabilities.
The speakers invited to seminar include leading experts in this field, the staff of ITU, telecommunications companies, research institutes and academic institutions from Europe and the CIS.
The Seminar and meeting will be conducted with interpretation in both Russian and English.
No registration fee will be required. Please note that participants shall cover their own travel and accommodation expenses. In order to confirm your participation, you are kindly invited to fill out the attached Registration Form (Annex 2) and send it to the contacts persons indicated on the form no later than 22 March 2013.
I am also pleased to inform you that one full or two partial fellowships per administration will be awarded, subject to available funding, to facilitate participation of Low Income Developing Countries. An application for a fellowship must be authorized by the relevant Administration of the ITU Member State.
